RE: tarps

Funny what you find when your pratting around like this. This looks well worth joining.

RE: tarps

Dancing prats? That's just too silly!
Mind you, Morris dancing is under threat...

RE: tarps

Well I had thought about these, but preferred the tart idea.

It was the real ale that attracted me. Now if they could just get that idea to catch on with the youngsters...

RE: tarps

Wha' happened to my thread! Oh, just noticed that with the new software you now have to request notifications so I missed out on joining in on this :(

Nevermind I had a good chuckle all the same, thanks people :)

BTW Father Xmas left a BPL Duo tarp under the tree. Not as light as some but readily available in the UK and at an acceptable price.

I've done some practice pitching of it and once I've uploaded the pictures I'll be posting a review on my blog at http://bazbackpack.blogspot.com/

RE: tarps

tarps,TARPS, i suppose they are ok for the summer, with 10 bottles of deet to keep
the midges from eating you alive while you sleep. if you are seriously looking for one though, get the best there is (hilleberg). but give me a lightweigt tent anyday.

RE: tarps

Hilleberg's too heavy. No point in carrying a tarp if there's no weight advantage.

Never had a problem with midges or mosquitos in years of use. Might have been luck I suppose but I put it down to camping high enough..
