I would like to go snowshoeing in usa or maybe canada this winter, my problem is i dont want to rent a car. Does anyone know of a cheap backpackers hostel type place with selfcaterers kitchen and nice outdoorsy atmosphere thats on the edge of some wild snowy winter country that can be reached by public transport or a reasonable taxi ride?
any suggestions would be apreciated.
