Hi I am off to Aigues Tortes in the Catallan Pyrenees next week, is there still much snow in the high colls? enough to warant carrying an ice axe?
if anyones been there recently could you please advise on conditionbs. Thanks.

yes there was some snow and i was glad I carried the stuff but the locals didnt seem to be bothered by it and just relied on their trekking poles and the footsteps of those who had gone before. Microspikes and light shoes worked well together
