I have to declare a vested interest here - I have recently joined my local MRT and so am something of a 'convert' but is it time for another feature on the work of the MRT - especially as (correct me if I'm wrong here) - you rather missed out on publicising the recent Mountain Rescue no vat petition, unlike other walking mags.

Maybe not one of the 'classic' mountain mountain recue teams as in the Lakes or Scottish Highlands but one of the lesser known teams who's work is perhaps more varied - search missions, rescuiing the elderly, frail, confused, recovering the dead even.

I feel that if the wider work of MRTs was known they would get wider support.
