Power Stretch is a great material for gloves, being warm for the weight, fairly wind resistant and very close fitting, and these are about the best of the type I've used. Most Power Stretch gloves fit pretty well, because of the nature of the fabric, but these are also cut very well so there are no baggy folds or flappy bits at the end of my fingers. They're also very well made, with no loose stitches or bits of unstitched seams, which I have seen in similar gloves from other brands.
Their weight is low -- just 37g for a pair of size medium -- because of their simple design and lack of "extras". The only feature they could lose is a pair of tiny clips to attach one to the other, and these could easily be cut off, which might save a gram or two. This lack of weight might lead some to think they are just s warm weather option, but this is not the case. They're all I use for most of the year, and can be teamed with a pair if light waterproof mitts, like the Terra Nova Tuffbags, to give a really effective system for really cold or wet weather.
If they get wet they still keep in some warmth, and much of the moisture can be wrung out of them. Additionally, their low weight means a spare pair could easily be carried.
A bonus is that they're nice and soft when used for nose wiping purposes, and can be easily washed afterwards.
I wouldn't recommend wearing them when scrambling, but they are tough enough for walking when using poles. Their close fits means they can be worn for quite fiddly jobs.
They cost about £20 a pair, which is a bit more than Power Stretch gloves from some other manufacturers, but the fit and quality makes the extra outlay worthwhile.
