Hiking/Hill walking/wild camping partners

Hi All

First post on this site, climber of last 10yrs (Alpine & uk multi-pitch)but was hill walking long before the climbing bug set in. Seeking a return to my hiking roots looking for people to get on the hill with, dont mind passing on 20 yrs + experience. Iam mainly interested in the longer routes. A rough idea might be...

Hard routes... 8-9 hrs on steep ground with grade 2/3 scrambles with poss wild camping.

Moderate routes 4-6 hrs on mixed ground with poss grade 1 scrambles poss wild camp.

iam trying to refine my wild camping at the moment with a view to bigger projects in the future, would be good to meet people with similar objectives i.e GR20.
As iam in leeds so the lakes, Dales & Peak are pretty good for me but would like to get back to wales/scotland at some point.

cheers Bob

Hi Martin,
Pop in and say hello if you're around Glencoe - I work in the Clachaig. There's quite often one or other of us heading out somewhere, especially mid-week. Happy to go climbing too if you fancy that (just got my SPA so safe hands, I promise!) :)

RE: Hiking/Hill walking/wild camping partners

Hi everyone,
First post on the site :) Its been a fair while since i was active but as my daughter has grown, i find i am able to now find time for myself again. I love wild camping, hiking hills and Mountains. I would consider myself a beginner as i'm no where near as fit as I used to be (im now 42) - although i have climbed and abseiled in my younger days) Saying that, I have recently climbed Snowdon and hope soon to go back to my old favourite The Old Man of Coniston (fabulous scenery).

I'm really hoping to find someone who has similar interests such as camping and mountain hiking who is fairly spontaneous and can take off at a moments notice during the weekend and doesnt mind camping and hiking in the rain, snow or heat!
I live in Warwickshire and will probably frequent Wales, Derbyshire and the Lake District to start although once i'm fitter and back into the swing of things, would love to try Ben Nevis :)
