Help my body shape has gone wrong

Evening all.
has anyone noticed that their sac doesnt sit properly on them anymore.I am off on a bit of a sac hunt tomorrow. There must be one that is comfy and fits me properly.never used to have a problem with them.I had a winter sac a summer day sac and a general purpose/climbing/weekend/holiday pack. Now my collection numbers ( I,m not kidding) 22!none of them fit me anymore. The main problem is they start off ok but after a few yards they slip down,so i tighten them up and they slip down again and I tighten them.........etc etc.there comes a point where the blood flow gets cut off.My eldest sons wife is a physio and she says I have poor hip definition(no I had never heard of it before either).has anyone had a similar problem?I have tried all the name brands including the exotica but seem to have the same problem with all of them.Am I doomed to carry all the weight on my shoulders from now on? I would give some of the American pacs a try but dont feel too keen on spending a lot of money on something without trying it first.I really want to get this sorted as my enjoyment is being severely limited not to mention my sore shoulders.I have been measured by several shops with assistants who do know what they are doing so I am sure the size is correct. If anyone has any ideas I would be very pleased to hear from them. For what its worth I am 6 ft 2 inches tall and waist 36

Can't really help with your shape but needless to say I am too 6foot 2 inches tall but with a 32/34 waist and I find that my golite quest pack sits just find around my middle area. No pain and I've done a couple of long two day routes (25 miles per day).

Osprey do packs that come in different back lengths, and some have hip belts that can be heat moulded to shape if required. This is only on some of their more expensive models -- wouldn't you know it -- but I can't think of a better way of getting something that fits.

RE: Help my body shape has gone wrong

Thanks chaps.I,m giving osprey a go now ( pack no 23 I think) as far as the day sack goes. Also just bought a pod black ice which I,m in the process of canibilising along with an old black diamond and do seem to be getting there.
The only worrying thing is that I was measured by a so called pack fitter in a well known store and he was certain my back length was 23 inces.Went to another earlier this week and the guy said it was 19.5 to 20 and could not understand how they arrived at a measurement of 23.I must admit that I do out of habit wear my pack very high(an old climbing thing I think)
I suppose its what one finds comfy and stable at the end of the day that counts

RE: Help my body shape has gone wrong

I was so tempted to mention that at 45 my sack's sitting a little oddly too but that would only cheapen a sensible discussion so I wont.

Slightly more sensibly I have noticed that my hip-belt has an irritating habit of pushing my trouser waist band down - causing a regular hitching-up of said trousers. This is particularly noticable when I bend over for whatever reason, picking up camera or binocs after a break or such. You'll be relieved to know that the descent of said trousers is not extreme and so you'll be spared the horrifying and frankly disturbing image of a middle-aged bloke bending over in the hills, picking up a map with his arse in the breeze - not a sight to wish on anyone - and frankly rather asking for it in grouse-shooting season.
