Challengers who have booked to spend a night in the Dalwhinnie Inn should be aware that ongoing construction problems mean that the hotel will be closed during the time of the TGO Challenge. A number of Challengers have booked online, and paid in advance, to stay there.
I've spoken to a chap called Steve at the hotel who is currently arranging for the online booking company, Eviivo.com, to send out refunds to those who have booked and paid. However, all is not lost. Steve also told me the hotel has camping facilities an he hopes the restaurant will be open for the last week in April. At least Challengers should be able to camp and get a decent meal.

What a great and generous offer from Dalwhinne bar and Tea-room. I'm not a TGO challenger but next time I'm by Dalwhinnie I'll stop by for a coffee anyway - anyone this generous deserves more trade.

(PS If I bring my own goat can you roast it for me?)
